CTPoint’s commitment to the creation of high quality threads through responsible practices, it is translated into the implementation of sustainability projects such as our Corporate Footprint’s calculation.

The calculation of the Corporate Footprint represents for us the basic activity for our sustainability strategies.

It provides metrics to support sustainability planning, just as an economic budget supports financial management.

The Corporate Footprint based on Life Cycle Assessment is in fact a crucial step for the subsequent setting of metric-based sustainability strategies.

Thanks to the calculation of its corporate footprint, CTPoint is now able to identify the hotspots along the value chain and the main factors that determine its environmental impact.

In fact, starting from the 2018 data, we estimated our greenhouse gas emissions into the atmosphere and consequently we identified the greatest opportunities for improvement to define effective strategies to make significant changes in terms of reducing our emissions of climate-changing gases (GHG) into the atmosphere, starting from the choice of using 100% energy deriving from renewable sources, in addition to increasing the use of recycled materials for our yarns, as well as for all our plastic supports.

But CTPoint’s commitment to the planet goes further, by joining Science Based Targets (SBTi), a global initiative that helps companies set science-based goals for reducing greenhouse gas emissions and transforming business activities with a view to a future low-carbon economy.

Through this commitment, theCTPoint defines the objective of reducing its gas emissions by 50% by 2030 for Scope 1 and Scope 2 in line with the scenario of maintaining the increase in temperatures below 1.5 ° C, to achieve the goals set in the Paris Agreement, thus avoiding the worst consequences of global warming.

The initiative gives substance to C.T.Point’s mission which aims to harmonize product, nature and life through a proactive approach to sustainability.
