C.T.Point implemented a change aimed at the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals of the Onu Agenda 2030, through a path of environmental and social responsibility.
Not only sustainable threads with recycled materials, but also the choice of making all C.T. Point’s activities through initiatives aimed at environmental impact’s reduction, such as the adoption of the Chemical Management Protocol 4Sustainability, which implements the ZDHC MRSL with a structured method (Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals) which measures periodically and in full transparency the level of application; the use of energy deriving 100% from renewable source; the search for production solutions and organization that guarantee a lower consumption of water, energy and CO2.
To this end, C.T. Point has started the path towards the measurement of the Corporate Footprint in agreement with the GHG protocol, committing itself to reducing emissions of greenhouse gases in line with the criteria established by the initiative Science-Based Targets (SBT).
Through this commitment, C.T. Point defines the goal of reducing its gas emissions by 50% by 2030 for Scope 1 and Scope 2 in line with the scenario of maintaining the increase in temperatures below 1.5 ° C, to achieve the goals set in the Paris Agreement, thus avoiding the worst consequences of global warming.
Growth, transparency and sustainability are the factors for which we want to stand out, basing our strategies on the belief that ethics and profit cannot be at odds, since there can be no long term economic development separated from the social and environmental one.
Over the years, C.T. Point also invested in certifications as a communication tool of one’s own daily commitment and insurance to its customers of the reliability of our processes and our products for a continuous improvement of our performances.
For this reason, it was achieved the certification of the Environmental Management System according to the STANDARD UNI EN ISO 14001: 2015, the Quality’s certification, according to the UNI EN ISO 9001: 2015 STANDARD and the one according to OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 of respect of the human-ecological requirements of its products and finally the GRS certification (Global Recycle Standard) for the recycled threads.
The last one demonstrates our choice towards raw materials with a lower environmental impact, which is added to all the other initiatives carried on by the company in order to consider the environmental impact of our activities, starting from the design of the yarns, from a perspective of sustainable / circular design, through the launch of the idea, for example, of the “king spool loop towards zero waste“ a way to reduce the own waste, increasing reuse and recycling practices, or even the use of recycled and not printed boxes for our products, as well as gradually elimination of plastic both within our factory production, and from our product’s assortment.
Our experience in the production of twisted and braided threads sees a new milestone with the introduction of the latest family of sustainable products “Platinum EcoGreen”, twisted and braided yarns in 100% recycled high tenacity polyester, certified GRS.
Recycled material is not a compromise, but offers comparable performance with that of leading non-recycled threads. Within our wide range of threads we are able to guarantee a great variety of counts, colors and finishes, such as lubricated, semi-waxed and waxed.
Thanks to our research and development, we are able to develop new finishes to perfectly adapt to all processing needs.
CT POINT’s twisted and braided threads are known all over the world for their excellent quality and resistance. They are placed on the market as top quality threads with perfect sewability and long lasting characteristics.
With the introduction of the EcoGreen are now available the familiar twisted and braided sewing threads based entirely on post-consumer waste to obtain the first and only 100% recycled high tenacity yarn 100% recycled (twisted and braided).
The yarns of the line EcoGreen offer performances comparable to those of the main non-recycled yarns.
With our research and development laboratory we are able to create and offer a wide range of items, titles and colors to cover a variety of applications without giving up neither the high resistance needed even in the most performing and technical sectors, nor the fashionable of the same.
